“Thank you SO MUCH for having this event! Even if I could only make it for the Thursday-Sunday program, it was still so fruitful and inspiring. Can’t wait for more events in the future!”
“The week was great for learning. The topics were really relevant and often applicable to real life. It was a week worth spending. It was also nice to attend the climate justice seminar in the city. Overall, it was an amazing way to finish the year of the red pathway.”
“For me the best parts were the morning talks and hearing from the EOCs (Economy of Communion businesses), which were really inspiring.”
“It was a very fulfilling, educational, and unforgettable experience!! And the unity between each and every one of those who attended the event was indescribably amazing. I’m excited for the next one :)”
“I really truly felt at home in Luminosa and this was actually my first time spending this much time there.”
“I think every single person learned something and will take back with them thoughts and ideas they can share with their families, friends and communities because I know I already have. I hope one day we can do something similar to this again where anyone is invited to learn about EoC (Economy of Communion) businesses and how each person can contribute to a world where no one is in need through economy, work and communion. Even though this pathway is coming to an end, our mission is never over.”
“The small groups were a nice chance to debrief on what we had been hearing about earlier in the day during the presentations and workshops. It was also a nice way to meet more people and have conversations about the themes of the week, outside of the conversations during meals.”
“I was able to share my struggle as a youth with my sharing group. It was great to find similarities in our problems. We talked about the competitiveness in the workforce. This stage in our youth were we face instability, precarious work and staying in school for a long time. Through the sharing group, I was able to find comfort in the others and encouragement from others to help me think of the positive things, instead of mainly focusing on the negative aspects”
“I enjoyed being a leader because it pushed me to go above and beyond and really try to connect with each one.”
“Now, I will be more cautious with my money and show no remorse for myself if I lose my money. In all seriousness, I take what Dave talked to us about with an open mind because they’re more than just one way to help the common good.”
“Dave Settanni’s workshop taught me how to be smart with my fiances. Also believing that money is temporary and needs to be shared with others. The workshop taught me giving back is a part of the responsibility of anyone that has money. And not to strive for the instant gratification and consumerism. Understanding that money is simply a tool, not a possession we own, instead it’s something we need to share. Money can also be a source of evil for some of us. I learned to control my money, not to let money have control over me.”
The Fragments of Fraternity… “This was a masterpiece. Something really unique and inspiring.”
“Just absolutely amazing. From the art work to the messages in the QR codes, it was not only a moment of awe but also time for reflection in our life.”
“It was beautiful. I cannot believe how much work went into making such an installment. It was a magnificent part of the experience. It was highly interactive and really a great addition to the week.”
“Loved it, very eye opening. The people who set it up did a great job.”
“This was a very good moment of reflection in our community which helped us all a lot. We were able to analyze our realities and what do we have to do from now on.”
“This was an eye opening workshop for most of us because we could hear from a real life experience that money is not bad, we can give it a good purpose.”
