The YCNA leadership program equips young adults so they can discover and develop strong and lasting skills that will allow them to navigate through every day and sometimes challenging life situations.

♦ Learn the Art of Loving (applied Christian love), how to handle suffering and live the present moment
♦ Introduce a healthy balance in 7 areas

The program incorporates key aspects of the Focolare spirituality which allows for increased self-awareness and growth while understanding how to welcome other people, becoming enriched by their gifts. The value of respect is at the core as expressed in the Golden Rule: “Do to others what you want them to do unto you; don’t do to others what you don’t want them to do unto you”.

 

Program opportunities:
Leadership Workshop “Adjusting the Sails” – 5-day leadership training that focuses on key aspects of the leadership program. Guest speakers, presentations, group sessions, hands-on activities in selected fields, personal reflection. June. Website.

1-on-1 sessions opportunities to discover and develop strong and lasting skills that will allow them to navigate through everyday life situations, which at times can be challenging. Each person will discover a greater self-awareness which builds confidence and paves the way for growth and success.

Conferences & events – opportunities that bring leadership alive in relation to particular areas of dialogue. As scheduled.

  • Courageous Conversations – Creates forums of dialogue to discuss racial issues and personal experiences, turning dialogue and discussion into initiative and action. https://racialequity.focolare.us/
  • Hearth for the human family – re-imagining dialogue which fosters a spirit of mutual understanding, community, and commitment to justice. An interactive event where participants lift up concrete efforts and best practices in a variety of cultural, professional, social, and religious settings. September 20 & 21, 2024.
  • Genfest  – a powerful, unique experience of community, social action, celebration, stories, and service. It gathers young adults from all around the world, of different ethnic groups, cultures, and religions to experience servant leadership and care for the planet, the people around us and those that suffer. July 2024.
