Joe and May started Playa Pharmacy 10 years ago in a beach community in Los Angeles. This Economy of Communion business began because they identified the need to make healthcare more personable. Besides offering traditional pharmaceutical services,
Playa Pharmacy specializes in herbal & natural remedies and compounding (personalized medicine that provides solutions not offered by commercially-sold medicines and products).

The staff strive to live the golden rule (do unto to others as you would have them do unto you), or as their company’s motto says, “Come see for yourself, you will be treated like family.” Playa Pharmacy has been recognized in local newspapers as “Best Pharmacy” for many years.

Joe, a pharmacist, and May, a nutritionist, work together to provide wholesome health solutions to their customers. They both met the Focolare Movement in Lebanon in the 1970s, and have 3 kids and 3 grandchildren.
