John Mundell, President/CEO, Mundell & Associates, Inc.

John is president/CEO and senior environmental consultant for Mundell & Associates, Inc. (MUNDELL), an earth science, environmental and water resources consulting firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana U.S.A.  He is a professional engineer, a licensed professional geologist and a social entrepreneur with 40 years of diversified consulting experience on thousands of environmental projects throughout the world. These projects have involved the investigation and cleanup of contamination from past industrial and commercial practices, the evaluation and protection of drinking water supplies, and supporting sustainability efforts for multinational corporations across the world.

John currently serves on the International EoC Commission and the North American EoC Advisory Board which help coordinate the activities and development of the EoC at both global and national levels.

As an entrepreneur, he has shared his experience of starting up and running an environmental socially-responsible company at conferences and meetings worldwide, and at many major universities across the United States. As part of his EoC responsibilities, John also manages the international EoC youth internship program as well as a worldwide multilingual EoC business-to-business (B2B) communications website (www.edc-info.org).  Over the last decade, MUNDELL has had more than 60 environmental interns from 15 countries come to the United States as part of the program.

John is a founding member of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis’ Creation Care Team that formed in April 2015 to create a program and move ahead the environmental activities of the diocese.  He also participates in the Indianapolis Eastside Creation Care Network, a group of Christian churches focused on environmental stewardship.

As a special project, John developed The Earth Cube® (www.TheEarthCube.org) with a group of young Focolare environmental professionals. It is a motivational tool for supporting a healthy and sustainable planet. Based on some of the thoughts modified from Chiara Lubich’s Art of Loving, the Earth Cube® encourages a relationship-centered and action-oriented response to the needs of the environment. The Earth Cube® was presented at the Vatican Climate Change Conference in July 2015, and was presented to Pope Francis on Earth Day 2016 when he attended the Focolare’s Rome gathering. It is now in use in over 50 countries.
