Sasha Ongtengco is an independent workforce contractor and consultant, where she leverages 10+ purpose-driven years of talent development, nonprofit and social enterprise operations, stakeholder engagement, program design/development, and implementation/learning from workforce models, pilots, and strategies to help companies incorporate greater diversity, equity and inclusion in their employee recruitment, hiring, and supportive practices. Previously, Sasha served as director of a mission-driven staffing firm called Cara Connects that’s moved over 1000 people re-entering the workforce into more than 2,000 temporary jobs, while promoting greater inclusion in organizational hiring.  Sasha also serves on the board of Northwest Center, a community based organization that exists to improve the economic well-being and quality of life in Belmont Cragin and the surrounding Chicago communities. Much of Sasha’s work today is shaped by the values of mutuality, solidarity, and the practice of active listening, empathy, and dialogue, stemming from her involvement as a youth with a faith-based community called the Focolare.
