World Youth Day - Youth Center North America

World Youth Day is an incredible celebration of the Youth and Young Adults within the Church. Building upon the scriptural themes of the preceding Global Celebrations of Young People, these events are poised not just to be a coming together of local churches, but also an international celebration. The Youth Center of the Focolare (YCNA) is preparing to organize a trip to the next WYD.

Details:

Date – Aug. 2 (departure) Aug. 3 – 8 (program), Aug. 9 (return) 2027.
Place – Seoul, Korea.
Ages 16 – 35*
Theme: “Take courage! I have overcome the world.” (Jn 16:33).

* Requirements for minors: Adult chaperone: Minors (16 & 17 years old) must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The accompanying adult must attend WYD 2027 with the minor, register and pay for the minor. Written permission slip/waiver, consent forms, and media release forms must be completed by parents or legal guardian.

Pricing:

$2865 / person, 8 days, (minimum 20 participants) Package includes hotel dbl occup. accommodations, meals, private bus for transport, 10 activities listed below, tour guide, medical insurance, WYD registration and kit. Add $650 for sngl occup.
$1600 approximately for round-trip air travel (depends on airline & departure city)

Donations – the trip can be a great opportunity for loved ones and employers to donate to help you have this great experience.

Payment Schedule – deposits are needed to reserve spots. Please respond by the due dates. All payments go towards the total pricing.

What is WYD?

World Youth Day (WYD) is a worldwide encounter with the Pope and is open to all young people who want to take part in a festive encounter centered on Jesus Christ together with their peers. This event is an opportunity to personally experience the universality of the Catholic Church, and to share with the whole world the hope of many young people who are committing their lives to Christ and His Church. World Youth Day is a unique way to deepen your faith and grow closer to Christ, through prayer and the sacraments, together with hundreds of thousands of other young people who share your interests and ambitions.
