What was United World Week 2019?
UWW was a 6-day event held at Mariapolis Luminosa from June 9 to 16 providing opportunities to focus on aspects of economy, work and communion. It was the first theme of a 6-year plan for global action called Pathways for a United World.
What took place?
The event offered presentations, workshops, small group sessions, educational projects, a showcase of projects and businesses, a conference We, the Climate Generation, in the Salvation Army auditorium at their International Headquarters and a worldwide streaming of Pathways for a United World.
In the evening, Fabric of Fraternity – an interactive exhibit which sparks the imagination.
Who was there?
Over 70 young adults from North America, Mexico and Italy were present. UWW also welcomed the presence of many collaborators and experts who provided workshops and shared stories about their businesses based on the Economy of Communion.
What was learned?
Many of the opportunities provided great takeaways. The tree of messages told of the young people’s hope and commitment for a better tomorrow. Their impressions!
